3D Modeling a scooter
In this project, I learn all about inventor as I try to assemble a scooter from scratch. Along the way, I also learn about creating orthographic and presentations, all from inventor. I will go through the project in a timeline format, with each section representing a different part of the scooter. It will follow the video series labelled: Inventor Tutorial for Beginner - Design a Scooter

Construction of the scooter

Modelling the tire
This was fairly straight forward and I had no problems completing it. In this video, I learned about the two ways of making a cylinder. I learned how to use the extrude tool, the revolve tool and the fillet tool.

Modeling the wheel
This video was a little more difficult, I especially struggled with the wireframe view because I was not facing the same side of the wheel as the tutorial was, this changed everything. In this video I learned about how to perform a reverse extrusion (a cut), how to constrain a 2D sketch, how to make a circular pattern, an alternate way to make a hole (not using extrude but rather the hole feature), how to mirror components, change views to a wire-frame view, an alternate use for the revolve feature, and how to change the color and material of a part.

Modeling the fork
The fork was one of the hardest and longest video tutorials to follow mostly because my views did not match his as well as my inventor not performing similar actions to his (might have been either because of my different angle or my more updated software).

Modeling the deck
This section was very easy as it was already made for us and all we had to do was place the picture on top of it.

Assembly of the wheel
The was my first contact with assembling things but it was not too hard and after the first few constraints I learned how they work

Orthographic of wheel
There were a lot of complicated steps and features we did not look at when doing the orthographic's by hand but by following the tutorial it was fairly easy.

Orthographic fork
The fork orthographic more closely resembled what we learned in class, except it had a few extra views than we regularly worked with.
